Florida Freezer Limited Partnership is pleased to announce the opening in September 2021 of an 85,000 square foot, 2,040,000 cubic foot cold storage facility in Miami, Florida. This latest addition to the Fort Myers, Florida based company doubles its public warehouse capacity, and broadens the company services for the South Florida market.
“With the additional capacity we can now serve the needs of more clients in South Florida requiring multi-temp solutions for the #coldchain.”, say Robert Fay, the company’s President. “We look forward to the long-term growth opportunities with a larger facility just off I-95 and equidistant between Port Miami and Port Everglades. The logistical attributes of this distribution center were key factors in our decision, along with the quality of the facility itself to ensure the preservation of the #coldchain.”
The fully racked facility features two freezer rooms for sub-zero storage of frozen foods and food grade goods, as well as a large, refrigerated room for chilled perishable foods and related goods. Florida Freezer will accommodate not only full pallet storage, but will also provide value added services, such as case selection, each pick, e-commerce/order fulfillment, and repacking. Long term plans include U.S. Customs Bonded service, USDA inspection services for export, and port drayage to both local ports.
Florida Freezer has been ‘Chillin Since 1988. It currently owns and operates several facilities throughout Florida, including North Fort Myers, Miami and Lakeland. It is a proud member of the #GCCA (Global Cold Chain Alliance) and prides itself on creating pragmatic solutions to meet the needs of its clients and finding opportunities where others only see problems.
